Gary Williams

After retiring from the Army in 1994 I decided to pursue my interest in art.  However, I did not want to take the "Traditional
Art" path  because there were so many great artists already doing that.  I wanted to do something totally different from
traditional art so I chose glass carving.  I love being able to take a piece of  glass and turning it into a beautiful piece of
carved glass art.  I have attended numerous glass etching and carving workshops and have spent years practicing and
refining my art.  My art can best be described as follows:  My paint brush is an air hose.  My paint is a very hard abrasive
and my canvas is glass.  I create my art just like a traditional artist except I do it on the back of my glass and in reverse
order.
