Dorothy Shepherd

My  painting is an  expression of the moment,  but also is based in the old  lines and forms of Chinese Brush painting.  A
Chinese master painter once said that one must strive diligently to learn the rules of painting and then "forget" them.  My
paintings are attempts to give as structured form to an idea of the moment.
